There is much talk about this low-cost place for wine, beer and spirits, and many are those, especially in southern Sweden, on supplies here and unload trucks and trailers full. The name "Border 60 s fashion Shop" has become almost synonymous 60 s fashion with the frontier of cheap alcohol. Although I passed this place several times, it has never been by to visit this liquor store. Until now.
The department store is housed in a large barge-like bostadsbåt 60 s fashion lying in the harbor next to the boats to Rodby. Shop straäcker over four giant floors. On the lower level there are counters, stools with beer and cider. Here we find beers from Swedish breweries (seems to be the most popular), and the Danish classics, German lågprisöl and a liiiten department with special 60 s fashion and high quality beer. Flat two fully dedicated to wine. Most Swedish bestsellers in bag-in-box is available here together with major international brands and obscure priced wines. Strategically placed the rack marked "winetasting" where you can provide themselves of boxvin into small plastic cups. The white wines are understood in the same refrigerated appliances. There is of course a "vinkällaravdelning" with little more expensive wines and a selection of champagnes and something that looked like a wine bar on our visit was unmanned. Never have I seen so much wine I did not want to buy.
Floor three was the more interesting. Here were all conceived spirits. 60 s fashion Several large bars were totally dedicated to the marketing of major brands and I'm 60 s fashion guessing there are crowded at the tasting area where greater customer traffic than on our visit. If you do not want gin in bag-in-box, there was also the true premium products. Lots of whiskey from sellers in blended segment to a well-stocked department with single malt with a small range of Japanese whiskeys, and no less than eight different versions of Swedish Mackmyravägen. Whether you were a fan of these varieties, rum, brandy, vodka or spiced schnapps from smaller Swedish suppliers so prices were in some cases really good. Here was the place for bargains.
At the top, you could browse among the sweets and chocolates and even in a feeble excuse to apparel. On the way down through the roll bands led to recover through all departments so they would not miss anything before you came to the big checkout line and the inevitable payment.
On the whole, it is, not surprisingly, more volume and low price than the quality of the Border 60 s fashion Shop. Sure it's cheap, and if you still passes can be good stock up a bit, especially if one is interested in the distilled beverages. Running solely to Puttgarden to shop and make a financial 60 s fashion gain seems doubtful. From Malmö takes two hours by car to Rodby, one should wait for a ferry that takes 45 minutes ago and included it takes a few hours to shop, it is possible for a whole day before you are home again. Add the cost of the car, petrol and ferry crossing so it should be very cheap beer before you bring home the whole. But it's certainly an interesting excursion.

Appointed to Sweden's best wine & beverage blog in 2012 by matbloggspriset.se. Writes as much about food.
Middle-aged grandfather with love handles that like honest food and honest wines. Suspect that the same applies to my opinions about people. I can not score judge my fellow man, nor, I believe it is possible to quantify the wines. However, I have a pretty clear idea of who and what I like or dislike. Luckily, I'm pretty easy to change me.
