Calendar / Appointments / To Do Everything with the possibility of synchronization to mobile device

The original Microsoft Exchange is relatively expensive and at the same time ubiquitous. Most companies in addition a similar solution really needs so many open-source projects aimed at creating a full refund. A comprehensive solution is yet, but PC World looked at what opportunities exist and what benefits may offer a possible transition. I recall our series on the Open-Xchange Server. Previous Next little bravado news little news

a lot of unnecessary words, and finally the article makes sense: While Gmail, Outlook and Exchange look like antediluvian excavations, so who cares about open source alternative excavations bravado originally a commercial excavations? bravado
They found that the companies who would like to arrange mail to Gmail? The director should then mail john.smith1554824@gmail.com, his secretary should be Sarah276577875638743@gmail.com ... and certainly would not mind them, they have a Google domain instead of corporate.

Calendar / Appointments / To Do Everything with the possibility of synchronization to mobile devices bravado (push!), with a real client that supports bravado all this perfectly? Your own domain means corporate data on corporate servers under corporate control?
And it is the way of into your internal communication can not see or Google, or "key" from your inbox Does anybody outside the company? Strictly speaking .. because in such a case Bezet gmail * only * on the internal network (VPN, ...)?
User profile not choose bravado a nickname
I'm always so amused when people without knowledge of the field present their opinions ... Exchange, my honey, it's 'heart and mind' of each company (assuming, of course, to use Microsoft products) as thy 'time in Gmail ...' prefer Go into the forest and Sam head off dude :))

But it can do. http://www.zimbra.com/ As a client you serve any browser (but there are also offline version) or mobile phone. Support for IMAP, POP classic for clients. Even Apple iSync (paid). Shared calendars are commonplace. Email is very well integrated with the calendar - Invitation to Shuz you just add a calendar entry. Moreover, it is available as clustering / HA for large firms, which do not know if, for example, Exchange can.
We are looking for a real alternative for quite some time but unfortunately the Web client bravado can not be considered adequate compensation. It may sound like a cliché, but most users will need to click the mouse, using 'drag and drop' the mails, tasks, calendars, plus you can relatively quickly in Exchange simply edit the appearance, parameters and customize individual bravado components, which at the Web client, bravado you can almost forget ( the simplicity). No native client productivity by me half an our sad experience because half the company uses Linux on the desktop and Outlook in Wine works but stability is even worse than itself Exch server, Evolution has again problems with the calendar, so now we test whether Notepads :( would suit us, because it's not about whether it will be free, but that it was extremely stable and under control.
If you have stability problems Exchange? That's a total surprise. They are Exchange bravado servers that runs tens of thousands of users without stability issues. MS recommends roughly 1,000 users on a single core CPU;)
For the money the hell would be stable, but unreasonably delay in changes to accounts, poor message tracking center, absence headers bravado in e-mails in the framework of exch server, why some things have to be set in the registry, when it's all so demented clickable as jobovky It is a waste ssid etc.. they are things that really bravado will not find elsewhere. It's definitely "worth" it.

As I wrote, bravado so there is a offline version. bravado Drag and drop naturally in Zimbra can do even in the web version. It is true that you can not drag items from mail to tasks and vice versa. But on the other hand, emails calendars are connected directly, so you do not have to drag anything because it drag itself. Truth tasks, you must manually create. You can customize the look of the paid version. I do not have, so I can not say whether it is hard or easy. In the free version, there are various predefined templates and of course you are going to change very easily. I really recommend that you try: http://www.testzimbra.com/zimbraDemo/public/ValidateDemoCreation.jsp
I Zimbru assayed, akoze I have to admit, it's nice the reprocessing and gorgeous, but the beastly Java (intentionally are expressed as expressive;)) Som uninstalled bravado it after a few days. Jendnoducho, I need naozajstneho client, not webka in Java
The reason why no equally powerful alternative bravado exists is simple: communication protocol. Until someone dares begin to clean and will try to fit existing open format so where does not make sense (like ko
