From time to time expressed the view that we should introduce school haggar uniforms in Swedish schools. The argument is usually that the school uniform haggar signals that the business is serious, it strengthens the "we-feeling" that it blurs class distinctions and stop bullying. I think all these arguments are basically haggar excuses and think it's pretty naive to think that these problems could be addressed by means of a uniform. Teaching content and pedagogy in schools should be able to signal that the business is serious without any external attributes; attributes in today's society rather associated with hierarchical organizations where "the boss decides" than democratic activities which take into account the participants' opinions and individuality.
That people haggar seem to have a need to group themselves, manifesting class differences and expose others to abusive treatment is tragic and extremely serious, whether it be school children or adults, but to think that uniforms would stop this, as I said naively. Do you have affinity with a person just because you wear the same clothes? Would like attire erase the prejudices that you certainly carry on and do you think it is less likely to experience a mugging, an assault or a hate crime if you are wearing the same outfit haggar as the perpetrator? In that case we would of course be able to introduce uniforms in general in the country and stop virtually all social contradictions!
I have visited schools in England where they have uniforms and I had no problem haggar with seeing the students who had not so well off and who had it. Maybe it was even clearer there. That some had dirty, THE SMALL OCTAVE and bleached clothes became as apparent when everyone had the same starting point. It was not hard to discover other groupings among students. They manifested including jewelry, makeup haggar and cell phones. Without having any scientific basis for my claim so dare, I also claim that bullying occurs equally in countries where school uniform. Inferring the bullying haggar that some students are exposed to depends on their clothing is both insulting and counterproductive. It is to put the responsibility on the victim and ignore the fact that the foundations of bullying usually be found at the bully.
No, I think that the proposal to introduce a school uniform as soon account for a desire to return to a previous society, an obedience society where students would sit silent and still and grateful to receive the knowledge that they were fed. I do not believe in tackling contemporary problems using symbols from a past society, we need rather adapt the school better after today's society.
