Ha ha! It is so wonderfully naive I think. If only everyone has the same clothes, we are all equal.

I have presented my views on the matter quite thoroughly in a previous post (link). The only thing to add is enough to with Carin Jämtin suggestions so I will not have change dress style, as far as I suspected ...
No, I actually have one additional thought. Jämtin think school uniforms would create a better atmosphere in the school and calm fashion baiting. Sure, it may sound tempting to let the school become a "safe zinzi haven" from this, but besides that I do not believe that to succeed with the help of uniforms I wonder if that aspect of our society also equally be allowed to manifest itself in school. Our governing documents are full of sentences that we must prepare students for their participation in the community and teach them to respect each other for the differences that exist. Would not it be kontrapruduktivt to "wipe out" this part of reality? The signals that we need to get better at integrating the rest of the community in school activities is also strong. Why then mark distance by imposing uniform requirements? ----------- This is earlier reflections on the work clothes that might be relevant: I personally would feel more comfortable in jeans, T-shirt and hoodie, but apply it all? I've had some colleagues over the years would probably zinzi break down ...

If something is to be done it should be done properly from the start, half measures do more harm than good.
Joking aside, Jämtin gambit zinzi is about something else: she mumbles about to sweep the yard, have morning prayer and strict discipline and then tries to cover it all up with some sort of half-lame suggestions about clothing? However, we review what she says seem to instead be 'ok, if your teachers will whine so etterförnicklat if they do not want to clean so may well students do it instead!'
Ha ha! It is so wonderfully naive I think. If only everyone has the same clothes, we are all equal. What if it were that easy. What good it had been, and cheap! Schools are supposed to often stand for the solution of difficult problems in society so why not? Is not it more complicated than clothes then I'm. Though honestly .... think anyone zinzi that it is so simple.
"Our governing documents are full of sentences that we must prepare students for their participation in the community and teach them to respect each other for the differences that exist. Would not it be kontrapruduktivt to "wipe out" this part of reality? "
School uniforms yes. Should we introduce matins and sweeping the schoolyard also that they apparently had in Zimbabwe when Jämtin went where? Included veil in uniform too, it wonder many of my students. Yes, as long as I get to look like magician teacher so maybe the students can get a good laugh anyway.
The Swedish complacency is pathetic, if not tiring. In many countries have school uniforms. It is recognized that students should have a student identity in schools, not a gang identity. But when a high-politician takes up this question ridiculed her by self-appointed pundits in eg this blog. Have you worked in a school with a uniform? You know what you are talking about? Are you even a teacher?
Boring Master, she takes up the issue or she makes a move? The difference may seem subtle, but important, and even more important is to look at what she actually takes off. The uniform is secondary in the statement, discipline and student-cleaning of the school is primary, but half camouflaged behind the uniform that immediately zinzi captures the attention.
How many who comment have tried to have their children in school uniform? I think it is great with school uniforms, just like guidepaths schoolmaster writes. Convenient for parents and children. And the kids are proud of their school and uniform. Did I wish it would be uniform at my children's school when we return to Sweden. Differences are there really room for anyway. The school where my kids are over 40 different nationalities (of over 500 children). It is acknowledged and greatly appreciated for who they are, not what clothes you wear.
